The Vancouver Aquarium engaged Grout McTavish Architecture to plan a complete revitalization of all outdoor facilities, a new Beluga pool complex and expansion and renovations to all entrance services. Associated with this expansion program is the provision of significant new below water viewing and interpretive galleries as well as entirely new services, catering and life support areas. Clive Grout was responsible, working with Jim Peterson (exhibit design), for masterplanning the expansion options, negotiating approvals from Parks Board and preparing design concepts for a successful major 4 month public consultation process.
