Regent College establishes an innovative “wind tower” as a focal icon within a new public park designed on the roof of the new underground library for the College. While being a major community focus the wind tower incorporates an installation of combined stained glass and photovoltaic (the first such installation in North America) by Toronto glass artist Sarah Hall. The collaboration of artist and architect has produced a striking focus to the park and a celebration by the client of their commitment both to the arts and to sustainable living through innovative design.
